Why EchoPath exists

Accessibility should influence the first design decision.

EchoPath began from the idea that navigation software for blind and low-vision users should be designed around accessible interaction from the beginning, rather than expecting users to work around an interface built for somebody else.

How it is built

Build, test, listen, refine.

The project has evolved through repeated Xcode development, real-device testing and TestFlight feedback. Features have been reorganised, simplified and rebuilt when testing showed that the first approach was not reliable or accessible enough.

That process has taken EchoPath from core location and navigation work into multi-provider routes, Scene Detection, on-device visual AI and a broader cross-platform project.

Where the project is going.

Current work is focused on stabilising EchoPath for its first public iOS release, continuing Android development and improving the public website and support material around the product.
