EchoPath Privacy Policy

1. Overview

EchoPath is developed by Riley Burrell Development as an accessibility, navigation and environmental-awareness app. The app is designed to use the information needed to provide its features while avoiding unnecessary collection of personal information.

2. Accounts and identity

EchoPath does not currently require users to create an EchoPath account or sign in to Riley Burrell Development.

3. Location data

EchoPath uses precise location for features such as navigation, route guidance, distance calculations, nearby-place information, Where Am I, saved-place workflows and safety features that depend on current location.

Riley Burrell Development does not use precise location for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Location information may be processed by platform and mapping providers when you use features that rely on those services.

4. Saved places

Saved places are used to provide EchoPath functionality, including allowing you to return to destinations you have chosen to save. The exact storage behaviour can depend on the app version and platform.

5. Scene Detection and photos

Scene Detection uses photos you deliberately capture in the app to provide visual descriptions and answer questions about the image. The current bundled Qwen3-VL Scene AI path on iOS is designed to run locally on the device. Apple Vision, Core ML and related on-device analysis may also be used.

EchoPath may create temporary local image files as part of on-device processing. These are intended for feature operation rather than advertising or profiling.

6. Apple, Google and other platform services

EchoPath uses Apple technologies including Core Location, MapKit and other iOS system frameworks. iOS navigation features can also use Google services including Google Maps, Google Places, Google Routes and Google Navigation SDK. When you use features powered by these providers, data required to provide the service may be processed according to the provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

7. Advertising and tracking

EchoPath does not currently display third-party advertising. Riley Burrell Development does not use precise location or Scene Detection photos for advertising or cross-app tracking.

8. Diagnostic and beta information

If you send feedback through TestFlight, email or another support channel, the information you choose to provide may be used to investigate bugs, accessibility issues and reliability problems. Apple may separately provide beta and diagnostic information according to its own services and settings.

9. Children

EchoPath is not specifically directed at children. It is designed as an accessibility and navigation tool.

10. Your choices

You can control system permissions such as location and camera access through your device settings. Some EchoPath features will not work without the permissions they require.
